THE SOCIETY is located at 1300 First Street Suite 242 in Downtown Napa. The studio is on the very back side of the Archer Hotel (parallel to First Street) on the walkway between Compline Wine Bar/Kitchen Door and Kohls department store. There is ample street parking nearby, as well as the option to park in two free parking garages just steps from the studio.

Please e-mail the studio hello@thesociety-fitness.com and request a pricing break down sheet and we will happily send it to you via email, or ask our front desk staff next time you’re in and they will explain the break down to you in person.

You can sign up for classes by creating an account through our website or download our App through iTunes or Google Play to sign up right from your phone (the most preferred booking method) one week in advance (booking opens Saturday’s at 2PM for upcoming week).  Once you have created an account, you can decide how many classes you want to purchase and then use your purchased class credits, or memberships to book into your ride.

You must be 13 years old to take classes at THE SOCIETY. To take cycle classes you must also be 4’11” to ride. If you are under the age 18, you may not ride unless a parent or guardian signs a waiver for you in person. If you are under the age of 15, your parent/guardian must also ride with you, in addition to signing a waiver.

We do not have shoe rentals, however we are happy to give you our favorite brand recommendations so you can purchase a pair. You can wear either cycling shoes or sneakers on our bikes, which are all equipped with toe cages for sneakers as well as SPD and Delta clip compatibility.

We recommend wearing breathable clothing with wicking capabilities. Most people wear workout leggings/bike shorts and a t-shirt, or tank and don’t forget to wear socks! Please bring layering clothes for after class.

We encourage you to bring your own towel, but if you forget, please let the front desk know.

We have a water filling station at the studio and we also sell waters at the front desk for $3.50.

The doors close two minutes prior to class. If you are going to be late, please call the studio to let us know and we will accommodate if possible. We allow a 2 minute late admittance to both STRENGTH and CYCLE, but if there is a waitlisted person at the studio, your spot will be released to whomever is present at the start of a class.

You can read our terms here.

Classes go live for booking every Saturday at 2 PM. Any memberships labeled “early booking” go live Saturdays at 11AM.

All classes have different expiration dates, please check each individual class type on the website or APP description in the “BUY” section for more information.

We understand that life happens and things come up that are out of our control. Please reach out via phone, or email to let us know if you need to cancel your class. Our cancellation window is 12 hours prior to class for cycle and 12 hours for strength classes. If you cancel before those cut-offs, we’ll put your class pass back in your account. We do charge a late cancel fee of $20 to those on memberships who cancel less than 12 hours before class. If members fail to cancel before class begins, they will be assessed a $25 no-show fee. If you have booked your class using a class credit, you will lose the credit if you are a late cancel, or no show.

We understand things come up that are beyond our control and a member may need to cancel, or freeze a membership. In order to cancel a recurring monthly membership, a member must request cancellation before the next billing cycle.

In order to cancel a 6 or 12 month membership, a member needs to request cancelation before the next billing cycle and a $225 cancellation fee will be assessed. If a member is moving to a new location, by which it is unreasonable to commute to THE SOCIETY, we will cancel their membership at no cost.

To freeze an account for up to 30 days, please contact the front desk at hello@thesociety-fitness.com to request the date of the freeze and you will be assessed a $30 fee.

  • Sign up for an account on the website here, or through THE SOCIETY APP (available for Apple and Android). You can also email our studio hello@thesociety-fitness.com with any questions before booking your first class.

  • Hydrate before class and bring water. We also sell water for $3.50 in case you forget your own.
  • Show up 15 minutes early to get checked in and situated. First time riders will not be admitted into class late.
  • One of our front desk staff members or instructors will make sure that you’re set up for class, so you can maximize your experience.
  • Make sure to introduce yourself to your instructor. Let them know if you have any injuries or concerns and they’ll make sure to give you some suggestions on how to cater the ride to your specific needs.

  • Once the first song starts, it’s time to engage in the present moment. We ask all class participants to turn their phones off and allow themselves the opportunity to be fully present for the workout.
  • In CYCLE, we ride to the beat of the music. Your instructor will call out and demonstrate various drills to perform. In STRENGTH, all classes are for all fitness levels and your coach can give you any needed modifications for the given workout based on individual needs.

  • Be prepared to have fun, holler, laugh, work hard, sing and get out of your head. Oh, did we mention you’ll sweat, a lot ;)!

  • We do not have showers at THE SOCIETY, but we have several goodies in our restroom to help you freshen up after class.
  • Please feel free to hang out post-class, we are a community and we welcome the opportunity to get to know YOU. If there is a class following yours, please clear the area around your bike, or help remove belongings from the strength studio so our front desk staff can thoroughly clean and prep for the next class.
  • Stop by the front desk and let us know about your experience. A front desk staff member can help provide you with information on promotions, upcoming events, and can help you book your next class.

To ensure the cycle experience is the best it can be for our riders, we reserve the right to reassign a guest’s bike assignment and aim to place all riders in positions that support not only their ride, but the other members in the room.
